Ronni August is an award-winning independent filmmaker from Chicago, IL who specializes in screenwriting, editing, and directing.
In high school, she was a student of a film and broadcast academy where she made over ten short films. During her tenure there, she won the academy's Best Director three years in a row and was nominated for Best Content twice. In her last year, she was awarded an honorary recognition for outstanding achievement.
While in college, she wrote, directed, and edited The Fear of Finding Something Worse, a short film that has played in film festivals across the globe and has gained dozens of accolades. She earned her BFA in Cinema Screenwriting in 2021.

As of 2025, two of her screenplays have gained recognition for quality: Her Euphoria spec, If At First You Don't Succeed, was selected for season 3 of The Stunt List and her feature film, We're All Alone, was named a Quarter-Finalist in Final Draft's Big Break contest.
